Bamberg 1290-1470+   Clieber-Cliber-Klieber-Kliber

Seyfried Clieber born circa 1290 had two sons Otto and Herman. Younger brother Otto was listed in Bamberg books as stone house owner (Dominikaner Strasse 7). Not much is know of the older brother Herman. Otto had two sons Engelmar b.1340 and Paul 1355-1422. Son of Engelmar - Eberhard Cliber b.1370 become mayor of Bamberg , he married Barbara Zingel of Nurnberg. We know that Eberhard had child named Christein that died prematurely 1405-28. Older Paul Klieber owner of house in Bamberd at Kessler strasse had son Pauls KLIBER b.1415. Are they the first one to have name KLIBER spelled with single i ? Books of city Wurzburg note Paul Kliber in 1401 July 17th , then again in 1456 Jan 10 (son Paulus?). Lastly in 1470 Jacob Kliber was noted , son of Pauls Kliber? There is also link of Klibers moving to Hungary (now Slovakia) , trhey owned mines there (town of Kremoca). This could be link to Klibers of Bohemia living till now in Hungary, Czech Rep and southern Poland. I am also i posession of patrimonial family crest of Klibers marked Nurnberg. This could be one of Klibers of Bamber ...

Buggingen n. Freiburg 1610-73

Hans Jakob Klibe born in 1610 is noted. He had four siblings: Hans , Fredrich, Anna , Maria I , Maria II

Hessen , Fulda 1702-1800s

Johannes Kliber (1702-42) is born. He moved to Alsace (Bas-Rhin). He could be protoplast of Klibers of Alsace. Numerus notes of Klibers are shown (especially in 1700s). Name of Kliber almost completly dissapear in 1800s from that region. What happened , where did they move to ? Religion- catholics . Did the move later to region of Kalisz ???

In 1700s I found few notes of Klibers living in Hessen (Oppenheim , Mainz)-in 1732 Ambrosuis Kliber married Anna Maria. In 1764 Anna Maria Kliber married Philippis Schneider (both Catholics). It is important to note that there was substantial movement of German settelment in Poznan region - so called Bambrzy (Bambergers). They "colonized" empty villages of Poznan region in 1760 and later. Name Kliber /Kluber become in local language (gwara) synonym for "nos". I can only guess that my ancestors has quiet noses. This is quiet true till present time.

Kalisz county 1788-present

Oldest records that I got my hand on are from 1788 (death of Agnes Kliberowna). Other mentioned families are from
Zduny:
- Jan (1784-died after 1821) as Rolnik mentioned in 1821.
Borow n Opatowek:
Katarzyna (1776-?) married in 1808 to Wojciech Luszczak, Jan (1796-?) married Rozalia Przybylowna in 1821. They had child named Jozefa (1822-?) as well Antoni (1782-?)
Cienia:
Large family descendants of Marcin Kliber (1840?-) married Antonina Matuszczak. Many Klibers lives in Cienia till now days.
Winiary:
This could be family originated from Zduny.Jozef (1884-1946) and Andrzej (1880?-1936) are two main starters for this branch.

Slupca (Drzewce) 1880-present

It is not sure if Klibers of Drzewce originated from Kalisz region. Lack of previus records suggest taht this is very likely. Pawel (1880?-) is the earliest know member of this family.

Jasenica 1750-present

Family of Kleber/Klibers. Protestant branch that could descent of from early Bohemian branch of Klibers ???

Cekow 1870

Family of smiths. Wincenty b.1870 was the first known member of Cekow branch.

Stropieszyn 1880

Stefan b circa 1880 married Franciszka Wasik. The only existing brach still lives in Bialystok.

Zegocin n Kalisz 1864

Jozef Kliber b 1864 married Michalina Lesniewska.
